i am going to spray the tank with a flat black .. thats not water base

i would be careful spraying stuff near the aquarium. the fumes or flying paint can easily contaminate the water in the tank. i used a brushed to paint mine.

i was thinking of lowering that water as in doing a water change then using masking tape and newspaper to cover the top complete so no paint got in ..shuttind all filters down and all it should take less than a hour to finish , the reason i am asking the ? in the first place i know if u have a salt tank and a open can of paint thiner anywhere near the tank it will eventually poison your tank

Do not spray paint with the fish in the tank. Use a roller and do it by hand. To spray paint with the fish in tank could end up with one big chemical death zone. The filters and air pumps can suck in all of the junk that will be floating in the air.
