painting my fish tank

Painting mine today, i just used plain acrylic. but you can also use krylon spraypaint.

People who say not to use any sort of chemicals around the tank are a bit nuts, I think.

I've painted a 75 and a 29. I used black latex paint on both, because if I ever need to remove it, it come off really easily.
If you do go with latex, use a roller and do one thin coat at a time - I figured it out pretty quick, if you try and make thick coats it ends up getting thinner. The paint dries quick, so I did one coat every 15-30 minutes, and it took about 4-5 to get it completely opaque. I used a flashlight to check if it was thin.

I have always painted my tanks black as well, but have done it before setting them up. I think spray paint is the easiest, but as stated before you can roll it on just do a little at a time as it will smear and not be even.

yeah, doing the same, but i use acrylic. and a hair dryer helps too.

But my mom thinks she's some painting expert and is making me wait like, an hour before i even consider putting on another coat... even know i'm in a painting class and work with acrylic every other day...
