i would reccoment a pearsei cichlid but i t is kinda short. it could work but i would do a longer tank.

Cubans are awesome fish and don't get to big. The subtle blue hue is gorgeous! Mine is also quite personable.

Funny I heard Cubans were always so nasty and beani and Grammies weren't to bad. Ill look into them tho thanks.

From my experience - Beani aren't bad when small. Grammodes tear into tankmates as soon as possible.
Cuban males can be hard on the female. But, not nearly as bad as a Red Devil or similar species.

I love my grammode, he was a pure killer straight out the box though. Killed off the other 4 I bought with him, as well as my full grown Senegal bichir. (that one stung a little).

I feel like they are not to often seen any more. Probably due to the painfully slow growth rate. Have had mine since start of June, 2", he is now 4".
