pair of cons and firemouth...?

Once your Cons lay eggs the firemouth will get ripped apart. I currently have two pairs of breeding cons and it gets old really quick... you will not be able to sell them. you will end up feeding them to your other fish or giving them away. I say keep the Firemouth and 1 Con for now

The only mix that will certainly not work is a convict pair with the firemouth; breeding convicts are nasty killers.

I think alot of that depends on the personality of the fish in question. I had 3 target fish with my breeding pair at different times, and they all were fine. All that occurred was alot of chasing, but hell, is a fish "aggressive" if it chases away other fish from their fry?

Now for my convicts, especially my male, is kinda a pushover. But that may be because the pair isn't really large yet.

R u talking about a convict firemouth pair? Ive had one they were real nasty! They were only 2 or 3 inches and they would attack everything!
