Emperors are pretty aggressive from what I've heard. People who have kept these with pbass can vouch for this. I believe you will need a large tank with atleast 300 gallons and lots of room(?) to safely house this fish with other fish. As these fish grow, you will need to get them a bigger tank. Just my 2 cents.
Well????? A really big tank will help. they always been good with catfish & lrg plecos. I have one big female that woop a 12 in red devil within minutes. They can eat 6" fish or so.
I have seen on here in tanks with bass, & some other big new world cichlids & getting along. But I can not guarantee compatibilty.
