My Freddies are bigger and seem more agro than my loisells. The male is big and a bit drab in coloration. He eats like a pig. Female is stunning! Black and bright yellow! Just like their nickname, bumble bee cichlid.
Loisells are smaller so less agro in my tanks. They have this yellow and silver marble to to them, and both sexes have a bit of color. However I do see these guys around more than freddies.
As far as selling fry? good luck. I couldnt give these adult breeding pairs away til you came along! Our Bay Area central/south american cichlid fans are dying out. People out here only want festae, umbies, and dovii!
