Hello MFK!

In the process of building a Tank where I will house 1 Silver Arowana, and 2 stingrays and Maybe some other that I don't know yet. I have done my research with the Arowan, but I'm still in the process for the Ray and I have seen that this forums has a really good traffic and people will answer to you :D.

From all the rays the I've seen the one the I like the most (I think everyone does) is the Leopoldi, or black diamond? Still trying to understand all the terms, BUT they are really pricey. So I'm thinking on settle with a pair of motoros, but then again I see there's a lot of variants...

What would be the best variant of motoro?

Is there any other black or Leopoldi looking ray that is not too expensive here in the US?

Also what would you put in with 1 Silver Arowana, and 2 rays?

Thanks!

Have you made sure your state can have Rays? I like the marble motoro. How big of a tank are you building? Motoros get pretty big

I read the sticky on this forum and I'm in North Carolina, also I don't see anything on google. That was the first thing I did.

Do you know what's the price range for those motoros?

What's the one you have on your picture?

DIDYSIS DIDYSIS breeds some mantilla and mantilla hybrids.

AquaScape AquaScape has hybrid black rays for affordable prices.

Mortoros can range quite a bit. I've seen super spots for $100 dollars and marbles for $1000.

Also I advise getting a black aro over the silver. Unless you enjoy drop eye.

The thing Is I don't really like how the fin of the Black looks, and they end up with a grey color anyways... Wow I didn't know motors were that expensive.

Any way to prevent the drop eye on the silver ? '

My profile pic is a snow leopard. I'm thinking if Leo is out of your price range so is snow leopard. A marble motoro price can range about 1100 and down all the way to 200. It really depends where you buy it. Local breeder or wild caught from a store. I suggest putting a LF add on here and buy a locally bred

Some people claim that ping pong balls in the tank help while others claim feeding crickets help. Some people have done surgery to minimize it only to have it come back later.

D Discus Origins had a marble male for $250 last I checked, I think jojo had one a bit back for a similar price.

Yeah I don't believe in wild caught fish, or any kind of animal. I'd would like to get one from local breeder. I've seen a few ones around the internet for 180-200, so I guess I was wrong!

If you want captive bred they're going to be more expensive but a better option for beginners.

Of which one?
Marble=mortoro
