sorry for the hijack :( and thanks for the info guys. i had just talked to the store owner, whom i am very good friends with, and he bought them as cb, so i believed him. i was suspicious though as he was a very defensive baby. oh well, he's still great. why aren't farmed savs considered cb?
and yes, i am fully prepared to house both a black throat and a water if and when i get them. the only reason i don't have a black throat is because the spider booth was inline before the monitors at the last show, dam :(
new strategy: see everything, before i buy anything

sorry again bsmm, i just thought i jump on the chance to talk to someone i knew, knew what they were talking about when it came to argus. thanks.
As for savs second Varanio they are hached from eggs colected from wild cauth females, so they arent cb;)

no problem MyFishEatYourFish

No one really knows where the savannahs there getting is FH or WC as we dont know whats going on in Africa. They ship thousands upon thousands each year to the us and they get here sick, malnourished, etc vs a true CBB animal which are for the most part 100% healthy. Here is quote from someone on another forum who was interested years ago in getting a true CBB black throat.

"[FONT=Arial, helvetica, verdana, times new roman]The problem with so many CBB claims in this industry, you ask around and everyone sells CBB monitors of all breeds, but all but a few are WC, its a sales tactic to either sell them faster, or make a few more bucks.
Years ago I had kept a few WC BTs over the years, I asked around purposefully in person, and on the phone making calls country-wide, everyone was honest with me and admitted that theirs were all WC (maybe they realized they couldnt BS me). At that time 7 of those who I called and 3 in person told me to contact PE.
PE had some of Rob Fausts babies at the time, in a few days I had Sobek in her new cage set up 2 days ahead of time
."

If your interested in argus still send me a pm and i will send you a list of breeders.
