Pale Pbass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He seems to be acting ok otherwise, right? I've seen them like that many times. Some dark substrate might darken him up, but it may darken some of the other fish as well.

thats a pretty cool background you got there... but it seems like the light is reflecting off the glass more than more than your background.. you might wanna add black gravel or something of dark a substrate..or switching your backgrond to black or blue.... whichever you prefer....;) to take the glare off your lighting... overall looks great nothin too worry about;)..

ph is too low I'll kept to about 7

5.6 is fine if they are wild caught.. i keep mine at about 6.2- 6.5 the highest... i would say 6.8 is the max even with farm cichla ... raise your temp to 86

i concur with boosten audi.... my ph... is right now 6.4... with unbelievable colors... like i said.... substrate will make the difference...

guns yea... he looks like a knife with upsidown fins... check the knives section.:)

alryt guys imma try to raise the temp and Ph.. will be a part of my new years resolution:) wish me luck! much thanks!:) happy holidays!

Ph says 5.6 is that good?

Depends on what your tap water pH is?
If there's a big difference then you've probably got pH crash problems due to high bioload, high nitrate, inadequate water changes.
If so, increase your water changes until it evens out and stabilizes. Also check your filters aren't full of waste sludge. ;)

well i can agree with you and disagree also.... but as far as tap water... it always comes out hard ranging from 7-8 hardness.... thats in cali as far as i know?? boiload and nitrate... high bioload is okay in some occasions & nitrate you cant do nothin about that cuz fish do eat and sh**... as far as BOBS tank & water change his tank,, is well kept fish look really healthy and happy;):);).. i mean (water changes) are always good for your fish... cant get enough of clean water you know what i mean:headbang2.... maybe try kent water softeners,, works good softens water fast.. only thing i dont like about it, is the amber water color... somewhat like if you had fresh driftwood in the tank... you know??;) and definitly clean your filters always....;)

best of luck BOBV.... & have a great, safe & happy new year....;) best wishes.....

mike;)
