Wow that vid was really cool. I knew they were semi-aquatic but I didn't konw they were at home in a deep tank like that.

The snail diet would be a trick though...I wonder if they can be weaned onto something easier, and if it would be good for them?

Some snails are very easy to breed and to gutt load. If for what ever reason you dont have live snails you can use canned ones from zoomed and exoterra, but only untill more live ones can be found:D Also they can accept on ocasion other meaty fare

They can be weaned on crustaceans, as for permitting for a crocodilian in Cali, I would call F&W and ask them what classes are needed to take in order to qualify for the permit. Thats the only legit way to do it.

I'd love to have that Nashville display in my house. Looked so neat with the fish in there too.

most harmless.... I wish the caiman lizards I work with were mostly harmless! Fast on water and on land, capable of scratching you up real bad, and jaws strong enough to crack a snail shell like its nothing. :)

Ours are still young... and they are settling down with age. I think that they'd be a lot of fun to have as a pet. Expensive though.

As for the caiman, the trigs are nice but I have to say I prefer the palpebrosus.

COOOOOOOOl you work with them:D:headbang2:headbang2 Some pics please:popcorn:

Yeah, it's a shame they are so pricey. To be honest though, I think I'd still rather have the caimen.
