Hey everyone.
Someone dear to me moved away recently and wasn't able to take her old man, Audax, with her. We got him as an adult sometime early in 2017 to the best of my memory and he lived in a 5 gallon till early last year where we upgraded him to a 10 gallon. He's been quite a trooper, surviving many cyanobacteria outbreaks and power outages. Unfortunately he is pretty darn old and his fins aren't regrowing (I believe he damaged them on rocks), he's lying around most of the day and most notably yelling at the kids on his lawn. Now in my tanks he's got a cozy 8 gallon chock full of plants to lounge on. He still comes over for food when you tap the water but I fear that he's quickly declining. The least you can do is make it comfy for the old bugger. He usually rests in the clump of floating stems
