You should be fine. I have a Del, Senegal and (had) an Ornate together and they never had any issues.

All the senegals im looking at on the web are brown. This one is a light grey and almost white color... Do they come in any other color variants?

That's just bec he's still small and the substrate you use is whitish. They can go olive or dark gray. Here's my 10 in senegal to give you an idea. he used to have a lighter color back in his grow-out tank. Now that the substrate in my 125g is darker, the olive part came out.
