I'll try to ask all of your questions:
As I said I want to put some lizards in there. Only problem is that my kind of background is very sensitive against big claws.
Don't know if this product exists outside germany, but that kind of background is called "Rainforest Background" or "Peatwall".
It's a mixture of peat, water and "latex". But in fact it's not real latex, but a synthetic resin which must drying out before using.
It's a very good underground for moss and it's highly hygroscopic.
So the only problem of that kind of background is the "claw problem". I planned to put some kind of Gonocephalus in there, maybe G. grandis. But I don't know if the background would tolerate that...
