Thanks guys. What i did for the land part is made shelves out of thin rock, they were glued in, and then theres that little stump taking up a hole that i didnt have another thin rock to fill in. I glued cocoa husk to the back and side, roughed it up, added the moss, and sprayed it with tank water a couple times. Ill probably have to do it one or two times a day.

use a smaller pump for a fountain pump to push the water up to your HOB. just leave the HOB motor in it, but 'gut' the rest like the impeller and use tubing that fits the HOB intake tube (1/2"?). Place a rock or 2 in front of the pump to keep it hidden at the bottom of your tank, but you need to keep it accessible to clean the intake screen from time to time..Alternately you can place the pump in a tupperware container (lid off) and use the sides for siliconing camouflage on. That will help keep any substrate out of the pump.

I'm thinking a school of cories and a couple dart frogs. ;-)

Thanks bro. I decided to go with a whisper 40i in tank filter. But thankyou. I like the idea of dart frogs, how well do you think theyd do in there?

Dart frogs need humidity, put a lid on it and a heater in the water. done. I do believe that they are territorial so only a couple, but the colors are awesome. Just do your home work. And keep those pics coming! It really helps up on the net come up with crazy new ideas!

I am thinking of setting up an 18x18x16 glass tank this way and doing something real similar. (the wife love frogs!)

I think im going to try to add something in the land section. Any suggestions?what else other than poison dart frogs?( not that im ruling those out i just want to know of other options

To help the moss stay green, you should run a spray bar at the top over the entire thing that way they're constantly staying moist. As for land animals, I'm a huge snake fanatic and I'm thinking for your 40, you can do a pair of smooth or rough green snakes or Asian vine snakes. The green snakes will eat bugs and the vine snakes, you'd have to feed anoles or house geckos.

I'm lookin at the same thing except with my 150 and a pair of green tree pythons instead.
