What about somethin like 2 of these?
http://www.thatpetplace.com/ovation-1000-submersible-power-jet-filter-265gph
Ovation 1000 submersible pump filter that isnt to expensive and has good gph. I could try to put them both in the middle to make a large waterfall in the middle or have 2 waterfals comin from each bak corner

Don't know much about that specific product but my main problem with internals is that you have to remove them from the actual tank to clean, and they can be visible in the display place if not well hidden. But if they are well hidden, if you don't do it very smartly it'll be difficult to take them out for maintenance.

And I generally prefer real wood or rock to foam, but that's a matter of preference.

I was thinking of actually building a "waterfall" where water essentially shoots down into a big complex cone shaped mess of manzanita. Then if you planted pothos on it their roots would fill it out, and it'd be like a crazy live tangle of running waterfallness. It's an idea I've been toying with for a while.

True that would be a problem with internals. I would do my best to hide them but make accesible. I just sawnthese and thought of that video. It looks like they do good gph at a lower price, but ill look in to other options

Sorry for my postin so much, just tryin to keep the thread live. This is the tiny paludarium i just threw together. 10 gal tank, 50-60% water. Theres lots of branches comin out from the corners and logs in the back, which is what the moss growin on, plus a pece of bark on the back for the moss to grow on. Again its just thrown toghether with equipment i had and moss and wood i found outside. ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1367680684.624361.jpg
