Panaque Plecos

these species have teeth which graze on wood/etc...
was wondering as a fellow bro told me that most panaques including the Royal bloodline do eat silicone in the glass tanks but wont scratch the tank. I was wondering if the royal plecos do eat the silicone from others experience or if its just by the individual....let me know. thanks

but may chew plastic tank decor

Larger fish can scratch Acrylic, not glass. I can't see them chewing on silicon either.

Panque will ruin Acrylic tanks. I had one ruin my 90 a few years ago. I only keep carnivourous plecs now.

they do chew on silicone. I have had many in the past and the tanks that contained royal panaque always had receeding silicone lines from the royals munching on them.
