First I heard of as well.

then I guess you guys never had a community of large royals.
right now I am waiting for a friend to make space for my larger royals as they are chewing the crap out of the tank their in.

what about the black common pleco it kinda has 4 teeth lookin parts do they damage acrylic over the years? im sure most plecos that grow large can scratch acrylic after a while no?

I got the same problem with my 18" watermelon. I've seen the damage that larger panaques can do to silicone and had to reseal one of my 120g's because of it. If it hasnt happened to you, thats great but be aware that it does occur.
