Pandemic...in my tank.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry for your tough losses and stressful week....

it’s easy to become complacent when exited over the arrival of a new fish and skimping on the QT or adding a recently acquired fish to an established group.... i’m guilty of this...

once again, sorry for your rough patch and thanks for sharing!

Wow, sorry for your losses. That's rough to go through.
I also am an advocate of long QT times. I usually do a minimum of a month and sometimes it's a couple months before I move fish over to their permanent home. Even then, it's no guarantee but it does greatly reduce the risk.

Sorry for your loss OP.
I’m sure you know now, but fish not accepting food is a red flag for infection or parasite. Some keepers claim fish don’t like the taste of some foods like humans and won’t eat food they don’t like. Don’t believe this. IME every single fish that has not accepted food has had infection or parasite.
What I would do is break down the tank and disinfect it and start all over.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss of so many beautiful fish. I don't have any additional wisdom, and like we all know, hindsight is always near 20/20. I have had difficulties and loses but not quite as severe. I am 'listening' carefully and learning for your experience, and the advise of the group here.
I look forward to your recovering from this major loss and disappointment, and look forward to seeing you and your fish around. I hope some of your fish survive.
Regards!
