what scares me the most isn't these extremists at all...its whats going to happen when they push against Russia too hard and they decide enough is enough, NATO, UN rules and regs be damned.

the angry part of me wants that whole area bombed back to the stone age, where their culture and religion belongs...the other part of me recognises that there are genuine refugees, but my thinking would be to careful vet them before admitting them into the country, and even then; have surveillance on them at all times.
that might sound extreme, but id rather that than have people killed on the streets.
Also, if the country ends up being a police state, with surveillance etc so be it; I have nothing to hide.

Hello; According to well placed US goverment officials there is no way to properly "VET" these refuges. There is not a working embassy in Syria. There are not many records to check nor a way to check those papers that may exist.
According to a NPR report on the radio today, once the refuges are delivered to a place in the USA they are free to move about. One govenor said that the Fed's do not tell the state authorities where the refuges were placed in the state. The state gets a bill for their upkeep from the Feds but it seems, so far, have not way to keep track of them at all. There are big questions about what level, if any, of surveillance will be used. By some early reports there is no active tracking of such people.
I guess the small children are not an immediate threat. The women may be. Some reports have women taking an active part in the Paris attacks.
never be so sure about age in these situations...I've had buddies watch kids run up to soldiers only to be blown up along with the soldiers from some asshat on a roof with a cellphone.
In a raid in Paris this morning one of the suspects happened to be a woman with a bomb strapped to her body.Rather than allow herself to be captured she detonated the bomb and blew herself to bits....
They may already have but it boggles the mind that other EU countries would push for such a measure at this time.
