Pangasius Gigas (Mekong catfish)

From the same batch. Pics were taken today.

classification was based on what the seller stated. Its very hard to verify since they were approx 4 inches when purchased.

The seller is a good friend of mine, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt and see how the 4 fishes turns out in a couple of years.

the position of the eye and the presence of barbels could be explained by the data found in http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/species.php?species_id=767,

"The center of the eye above the horizontal line through the mouth angle in juveniles; eye totally below the level of mouth angle in subadults and adults. The maxillary and mandibular barbels well developed in juveniles, mandibular barbels becoming rudimentary in subadults and adults. Gigantic size; oral teeth and gill rakers present in small juveniles, absent at about 30-50 cm SL; dorsal, pelvic and pectoral fins without filamentous extensions."

pellet size is 6 mm
