Pangasius gigas Mekong Catfish

To anyone with a HUGE tank, I was at LFS today and they had one for $12.00 and about 3". If only I had a tank big enough to grow him to size, I would have picked him up. I doubt anyone has enough room for this size of catfish. If you do pm me and tell you where's he's at.

I doubt it was a gigas more likely one of the other similar Pangasius sp.
Gigas is now a CITES sp.

Didn't believe when I seen it, looked it up when I got home and am fairly certain that is what it was...

No this fish was a blueish color on it's upper half with very small whiskers. They have the same size irredesents and this one was in a separate tank. It was labeled as a Mekong and said max size 118". They could have very well been mistaken. I'm not a fish ID expert. So IDK...

Thats cool. Prob a paroon. I highly doubt it was a gigas considering its an endangered species. But it would be cool if it was...if you had about $100 a week to feed it. lol

I'm thinking that it was a Paroon Shark.
