I've had my pangs for almost a year and it seems they havent grown very much at all.

I purchased them at about 3" and now they're at about 4"

They've got plenty of room as they're in my 125... water is changed 50% once a week.

Diet consists of frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, sinking pellets and occasionally beef heart.

are they naturally slow growing fish???

I've never seen much growth on these guys myself.

I have always had some here and there in the 20 years of fishkeeping, but not for some years now - They just don't "fit in" as most of my tanks have a lungfish in it!

right on.

They're supposed to be part of my monster set up, but they're just not growing fast enough...

I've got an aro that is only a little over a month old and i'm afraid he'll decide to make a snack out of the pangs...

guess they'll have to chill in a grow-out tank for a while...

thanks sant.

I've found they grow fairly quickly. My 2 have gone from 1.5" to ~17" in a year and a half. They have become very aggressive eaters.

They are in my 750g with many other tankmates (20 some). I change between 5-10% of the water daily. They were fed twice daily when smaller but now once daily. Their diet is mainly a variety of pellets and occasionally they will eat peas.
