Okay so now I have to look at building a stand for the 55 square and 55 long I am picking up this weekend. They it is on to building a couple of bigger tanks/ponds in the basement for the columbians and for the RTC. Yes it is an albino asian catfish as I thought it looked cute in the store. After I got it home and in the tank I started to read up on it and went . There is no way I will get rid of it though so it is on to figuring out how to build a pond for now I guess to give them room to swim back and forth and then on to trying my hand at tank building so I can see him better. Not like I did not have enough to do this spring oh well keeps me out of trouble

In my limited experience I've never had a brackish fish die from fresh water. I've kept leaf fish, Columbian sharks, monos and chromides. All pure fresh with freshwater salt added sometimes if disease or something hit the tank.

Don't worry about salt just do your weekly water changes and keep the water hard with a ph of 8-8.5 he'll be fine.

Okay approx 15 hours after the scare, the parrot is out of the tank. The water is cleared up some. Going to clean out the filter and do a water change. Bruce, Chum, and Anchor have all seemed to settle down now. The are swimming around leisurly and do not seem to be in a panic. The angel has calmed down and nobody is bugging him and the only skittish one is the pleco Goulash but he was always that way. They have eaten and seem to be so much more relaxed now that the parrot is out of the tank and not pestering them. After reading so much about the columbians staying on the bottom of the tank I guess I have oddballs as that is generally the last place I will find them, they are usually all over the tank but the bottom. Time to sit back have some  and watch the fishes.
