will kill during day`~ really warmed up to me since i got him did hide for a bit in his caves. . i think if u have a pond and raise feeders this fish will make u real happy lol. hes got mad personality. at night he circles the tank like hes king lol

Thats cool,I had them before and they would always hide during the day and come out at night and hunt for food.They are rarely sold around here but they are my favorite of the knives.

I've got 2 one solid about and one with the gold spots VERY aggressive fish but it is possible to keep them in a community I've had mine for about 3yrs. now and they've been in a CA/SA cichlid community ever since they have taken a few fish out over the years tho they are like ninjas DON'T PUT UP A FAIR FIGHT because they ONLY play in the darkness of night VERY COOL FISH tho IMO

they eat anything meaty: live (ofcourse), earthworms, nightcrawlers, freeze dried krill, shrimp pellets, sinking carnivore pellets, etc.....

they are slow growers putting on may 1-1.5in. a year MAYBE 2in.

thats good to hear i though mine was just a slow poke. he did grow a bit but not much . alot of healing happened when first got him tho so hes badass. def a aggressor
