Crenicichla go well with most of the larger bruisers. I've kept Lugubris and some Saxatilis pikes with: Parachromis, Amphilophus, Vieja/Paratheraps, Caquetaia, Cichla, Astronautus, Hoplarchus, Heros, Mesonatus, and Uaru...just to name a few. Point is Crenicichla will fit into just about any community set up if you just use your head a little.
