Parachromis dovii update.

Truly a great species to keep but definately one of the hardest to photograph.

i couldn't agree more with this statement. they are such a stunning looking fish in person but photo's can never give them the justice they deserve. i think most dovii owners, when seeing photo's of other peoples dovii take this into account.

that said..... greenterra - that dovii looks freakin bada$$. i wish i could see him in person

i've been wanting a dovii at a lfs but can't bring myself to get one because i won't be able to get an appropriate tank for it for a couple months

True! I always take this into account when looking at peoples pics of Dovii more then any other fish.

Thanks Greenterra! I hear ya about tank mates. My boy just murdered his wife yesterday so he's alone now. They had been together for over a year and doing fine.Really bummed me out. I probably missed it but what size tank is your boy in? Mike

Sorry to hear you lost the female.She was a sweet looking female. Unfortunately once they get the no tank mates attitude they seem to keep it and as I don't like the look of dividers in a tank, I prefer to keep mine solo.
My guy is in a 180 at present.
