I rescued this fish earlier today. It was sold to me as a "gold jaguar". I know it is Parachromis, but it is not managuense. I'm leaning towards male motaguense. The shot sucks, I know. I'll get better ones tomorrow. Here's the shot with the tanklight off and a ilttle spotlight.

What do you guys think? Take a look and let me know...

As always, thanks for any and all help and/or suggestions. And thanks for this great forum.:)

He's a little beat up from his former home. Incidentally, I got this one from the same place as my male loiselli, which was also sold as a "gold jaguar". Go figure.

looks like a fredi...

That's the other way I'm leaning. He's got a lot of green on his sides that aren't showing up well in this shot. I'll get some better ones soon (profile shot). And, thanks.:)

Here's a head shot. It's the best I can do for tonight. Same deal, tank lights off with a small spotlight...

Thanks again.:)

Here's a shot I found online, it looks a lot like mine except this fish has lighter coloration. It's identified as Parachromis friedrichsthalii.

Again, this one's not mine, but looks a lot like mine. Thanks again for looking.

You will find a lot of varying shades of colors when researching Parachromis Friedrichsthalii.I still pick yours as a Friedrichsthalii myself.

You are correct, I just looked through a bunch of images, lol. And I agree this is a freddy. Thanks again.
