I currently have the following fish in seperate tanks and was wondering if you think any of these could go in with a freddy in a 75 gallon?

Jewel cichlid
Firemouth
Chocolate cichlid
Severum
Jack Dempsey
Silver dollars

Thanks

Yeh I was thinking that may be the case. The foot print is 48x18.
I am guessing it would be a good tank size a single specimen though.

Others may disagree with me(it's been quite a debated subject lately)but I think it would need that tank all to itself.
Freddies are the smaller of the parachromis group but still not a small fish.

I would agree. I wouldn't even keep any parachromis in a 75, I think a 125 is a better footprint and volume for them.

I think it would be best Solo

Agreed, freddies can be quite aggressive and cichlids without space can become hyper aggressive. I would not keep them with tankmates in a 75g.

Agreed, keep it alone. It'll be best for all parties involved in the long run anyhow.

Would definitely be better to keep solo, if you were really itching to put something else in there I'd try a convict or jewel and grow them together from a small size, maybe with some large swordtails or something to distract the freddie and plenty of caves. Best of luck.

I agree, I wouldn't keep a 12" fish in a 4' tank.
Honestly I would get a 125g for fish of that size.
