Hey guys. On Aug 19, 2015 I received groups of three different species of the Parachromis genus from Dan @ Cichlids of the Americas. The three species I received include:
5X 2" F1 Parachromis Managuense "Honduras"
5X 1" F1 Parachromis Motaguense "Red Tiger Rio Blanco"
7X 1" F1 Parachromis La Ceiba

I have the Managuense growing out in a 200g (80Lx25Wx23H) with 6 wild caught Cichla Orinocensis. The fish seem to be interacting together with minimal aggression. Fish are eating well and seem to be very healthy. Temp on this tank is ~82 F.

I decided that I would attempt to grow out the Motas and La Ceibas together in a standard 55g with heavy slate cover to prevent aggression. So far the fish seem to be thriving with some fin nipping and chasing, but no serious aggression. Keeping the temp ~80 F.
I will continously update this thread as these fish grow so subscribe and stay tuned!

Now for some pics!

MANAGUENSE -
These guys are already showing some great blue highlights typical of the "honduran" jags!

That's cool parachromis are some of my favorite species. I just ordered 3 large female motaguenses from the same place planning to pair one up with my 9 inch male and keeping the others as back up

Nice pick ups, make sure to update often I'll be following this one.

I'm wondering when the la cieba's start to show their colors, mine is 4" and showing no colors, but he is showing some bottom k9's.

The fins on the Honduran jags look sick! The others are pretty cool too. Keep us posted!
