Hey guys, this is my 4-5 inch Jaguar. Definitely one of my favorite fish. I bought him? about 5 months ago. He hasn't grown much, but seems to put on bulk just as fast as he does length. Can anyone tell if its male/female? I have also noticed that when I feed him, he colors up quite a bit. He gets a light red tint base, and his dorsal/caudal/anal fins seem to be tipped with blue or green. Its amazing coloration. I tried to capture the coloration in these pics, but I could hardly keep them from blurring. Let me know what you think!

i guess male the blue coloration and the fact that it puts on weight as much as it does length sounds like my male jag .

Thanks.:headbang2

looks male, from the pointed fins, blues on tip of fins and the pattern. GL raising it, they are one of my favorite.

Strong pattern developing on the fins - a male characteristic.
