Also on another note, the texas cichlids colours have changed and the entire underside of the fish has turned black and has become much more aggressive, to the point it seems to ignore food just so it can continue being a pest.
It's also gasping but none of the other fish in the tank are doing it and there isnt any obvious signs of disease, been like this for couple of weeks or more... any ideas why?

The Texas is stressed because of the Jag being a new fish on its turf. It could bring parasites out of their dorment stage in the fish but if the Texas adjust and falls into rank in the community then everything should go fine.

Everything seems to have settled down, Texas still hides a bit.
On another note finally finished building the hood and the tank is for the most part finished!
