Parachromis motaguense pairing attempt

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Smart plan - I went the growout route & these guys really grow slow! I'm used to vieja and trimac growth. They did successfully spawn for me at a very young size though - male was 4in & female 2.5-3in. First parachromis I've ever kept and they really are good looking fish!

very nice, best festae now best rtm aswell!-)

Im addicted to glacially slow growers so getting a pair as adults was a nice change

Thanks so much!

Nice looking pair. I have a 3" female that I have growing out in a 55. Got him when he was a 1" and that was 4 months ago. He started in a 10 all by himself. Then I moved him to my 30 with 2 ebjd. I monitored him and it only lasted 2 months before he was being very aggressive towards the ebjd. So I moved him in my 55 now with Robertsoni, 2 bandit Cichlids and a red head geo. He's the kid of the tank there until he grows out more for my 240. This is my first rtm. They're beautiful fish. Good luck with your pair.

Very good looking pair. Should be fun.
Thanks! Already spawned and divided again. These guys are pretty rough on each other.

Our pair only allowed our 15" Pearsei as a temporary tankmate. All others lives were in danger and I tried several larger tough species.

They will be the only fish in whatever tank they occupy now.
