Parachromis or serrasalmus Brandtii

If you were to pick a pair I would do Friedrichsthalii, they are the smallest growing of the bunch I think?
Single male I would go with a sp. "La Ceiba" the nicest and meanest of those in my opinion

I think Parachromis as well. I have nothing against P's (I have a big Rhom), but P's don't have personality like the Parachromis do.

well i had cichlids before tham decided to get piranha. Then I got bored with them, and got some Dovii and there the sh@! . Cichlids just have way more personality and pirnaha are just so skidish and arent like the hype you here about. A parachromis will need a bigger tank then the serra alot quicker cause the serra's grow alot slower. For the set up you have I would try out the serra if you can get one. definitly a cool fish to look at though.

its a difficult descision because i had serra's and i had damn near every parachromis species , however certain piranhas are rare but parachromis are every were i have beani cichlids, im basicly only about rare fish but i dont want a piranha to just sit there and end up facing the wall

If you can afford it & don't mind a noninteractive fish get the brandti. brandti are awesome. I love the coloration they have of course they get dull as adults but truly a hrad to pass up fish you can find parachromis later & set up another tank. the brandti might not come around for awhile. Serralmus are highly aggressive even as solo canidates so watch your hands when cleaning.

rtm and the la ciebas are pretty rare

I JUST ORDERED ALL 2 INCH PARACHROMIS, I GOT LA CEIABA, RTM, LOSILEE, GROMMEDES will be here on wensday all going in my 100 gallon witth extra hiding spots cant wait
