Paradise fish

I know that they are a tropical fish but is it true that they can live in room temperature water and breathe air? I know most people keep bettas this way but you never hear to much on these guys (or atleast i dont).

they like colder water than bettas can down to about 20 degrees celcius but bowls are bad even for bettas but they can breath air etc. like bettas

Oh, im not planning on keeping one in a bowl. Im just curious and trying to learn about them.

a lot like keeping any gourami really, except as mentioned above, they can tolerate slightly cooler. Also, like any gourami, they can be territorial.
