My female blue acara recently had balance problems similar to swim bladder issues I believe due to high nitrate levels caused by a jammed filter. Her balance now appears normal and she has been moved out of the tiny (1 foot) hospital tank and back into the main tank.
Her swimming is now odd - she doesn't use her tail, only the pectoral fins and swims tail downward due to this. It's obviously a lot of effort for her to get around but can manage a a decent clip when she sets her mind to it
What would have caused this paralysis? will she swim normally again and is there anything I can do to help her?
