i noticed one of the spots moved to a different place, im tempted to net one out and see if i can pick it off

If it moved it could be flukes. Try treating with Tetra Parasite guard. Since you have them in a QT tank anyway.

i removed one and scraped it off his tail with my fingernail. it does appear to be some kind of worm. im gonna go ahead and dose with tetra parasite guard. heres some pics.
