I have been having quite the parasite problem myself. There has been an unusually greater amount of leeches in the river this year. They are not big inch long ones, only a couple millimeters, but they seem to be on my feeder fish and shrimps. Luckily they haven't been on my mosters. I get them off by scooping them in the net, and usally when they jump around in the net, the friction causes it to fall off, or I get a pair of soft tweezers and yank the sucka off.

sorry to keep this going (off topic to the original post) but a salt bath would help to remove the leeches, not sure on the dosage though. when it is strong enough the leeches will become irritated and just drop off.
