Another fish can bring it in, stress (due to water quality and/or tankmates), and sometimes the type of bacteria is found readily in detritus of filters/substrate. Better aquarium maintenance and/or even competitive exclusion by using good bacteria to outcompete it for "space" can help reduce the chances of it taken hold on a fish.

Lots of info on using Probiotics to add good bacteria here

With the looks of it the stingray probably won’t survive… there’s still a chance which I’m going to try but it’s constipated. That green poop is still stuck to its *** after 5hrs. I’ll try saving the gar still if possible.

In quick cases of bacterial infection (within 24 hours) my first go to antibiotic is Seachem Kanaplex. Erythromycin has failed my fish at least a handful of times that I've used it for fast cases of bacterial infection.
Is it any of these? I can’t find kanaplex

better act fast bro its looking worse, I cant give any guidance as i never use these medicine before. only use one medicine for full treatment. Dont combine or change medicine during treatment

I’ve already used the kanaplex. I’m not sure if it’ll make it through the night where I’m at. Should I just euthanize it… kno4te kno4te

you just recently used kanaplex? I recommend to wait till morning and see the progress whether its condition improved or getting worse.

Caveden Caveden I know that kanaplex can be mixed with Paraguard. I just don't know how a ray would react to using both. I have used both on a scaless South American Lungfish with no issues. The SAL was experiencing fin rot and the white fuzz progressing on up its tail like the white fuzz on your ray.

I wouldn't use the EIHO product until you can get confirmation from a ray keeper since it looks much stronger than Paraguard with the Active Ingredients for EIHO being Acriflavine, Malachite Green, Formaldehyde
