I was watching my fish last night and I noticed something on the glass. I looked real close and there are little tiny white things all over the glass sides of my tank. I watched them real close and I saw them moving. They look like some kind of parasite, but I'm not sure. Should I be worried and how can I get rid of these suckers.

Those are glass ick. They eat micro particles of glass, and will quickly reduce the thickness of your glass, and your tank will eventually burst. Treat for these nasty parasites with plutonium oxide and melafix.

Seriously, what kind of tank is it, and pics would help.

I have a bowed glass tank. It's a 120 gallon tank with one of those built in filters. I don't have a camera right now to share pix, but these these are seriously tiny. I really had to focus my eyes to see them and when I looked even closer they moved. They are almost microscopic and white, that's the best I could do to describe them.

Any sugguestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do they have tiny legs? Hydra? Also, is this freshwater?

It is a freshwater tank. These things are so small I can't even tell if they have legs or not. As of right now I don't see any of these things on my fish. I've got a jardini, 2 datnoids, synadontis eupterus, royal pleco and a geophagus suramensis. I do frequent water changes (2-3 times a week) but not sure if my quality is the greatest.

Thanks for your help.

i have the same thing, there very tiny white things that wave on the side of the tank idk what they are tho, do you think melafix will take care of them?

I think pretty much all tanks get them. I've seen the little worms on my glass before too. I think they are harmless scavengers that feed on the detritus in the stones of your tank. But I could be wrong.
