I especially like papyrus if the tank is near a window, it is so tough, its cichlid proof, either in pots or bare root

disadvantage is it tends to collect particulate that can be eadily stirred up by fish.

but as you pointed out, great place for fry to safely hang out.

great set up mate and great stocking...can I ask size/footprint of this tank and do you aim to keep the bocourti in there long term...just wondering about "chemistry" of these guys...love them both and what a great set up..those bocourti looked real nice(as do the polleni) too ...have to say the yellow and other colours on the bocourti against the black and pearling on the pollen...this is a tank to spend some time in front of!!
