the tat will have alot of time for now before the pbass outgrows him.

I dont think he will have that much time being that they have 2 totally diff growth rates... Slow vs Fast.

Tats grow slow and Cichla grow at a pretty fast rate (JMO).
I would assume you might have months-to a yr before worrying.

Just so you have an Idea, I have a 13" Goliath with now a 7" Pbass. But I put in the Pbass when he was 5" and everything was good (IME).
I went times of starving the Goliath a few days and never tried to eat him.
Cichla are thick and I think it would work for a while till the Tat becomes a feeder.
Id say at 5" you should be able to add him (just keep him well fed) and 6" for sure. Payaras mouth is not that big

he said the tat would be 9 inches and the pbass 5 inches.
tats dont grow as slow as gatf.
by the time the pbass hits 12 inches,the tat should be slightly bigger.
and the pbass would have to be around 20 inches to swallow a 10 inch tat,of course depending on which species.

I believe its a mono or occel , bought about a month ago at 2" and hes blowing up , easily the fastest growng bass ive ever owned . Thanks for the replies though . I feel at peace now
