If you can close off and lock the fish room, that solves a lot of problems (or put a baby gate on the entrance)
When I was a kid, one of my siblings took a toy hammer and smashed a tank. Another sibling was bringing a chair over to look at the fish, and the chair leg went through a tank. Things happen.
