still your lucky. i am really hopeing that when we get the basement clean out i can have a 90,125 and a 250.

Despite owning my own house and being one of the most financially responsible 22 year olds I know, my mom still shakes her head when she comes over and tells me to take a couple of tanks down.

"Why can't you move all those fish into that tank?"

...

(Finished fishroom basement has 20g, 45g, 56g, 60g, 72g, 150g and 500g.)

wow nice :)

Well I switched my 55gal out for a 75gal and my parents either do not realize its a different tank or do not care since the 55gal is long gone....But as said do the math on how much electricity will/would cost with the tanks and then offer that sum to them once a month....Also Either breakdown, combine, or join your tanks together IE put the 10gal under the 20gal the two 40gal herptile tanks ontop of eachother and place the tanks in different rooms to avoid a cluttered look....This is my plan to get a 180gal I need for my polys....

I brought my tank home on Thursday since I knew dad wouldn't be home until Friday at earliest since he has his own place for the weekdays.

The sneaky one was buying a 30 gal + stand for 30 bucks and giving it to my mom. She had to go buy everything else... Now when shes bored I get a 30 gal tank + everything with it for free :D Just have to drive 2 hours to get it.

My parents don't accept it. My dad was lenient with it until I did a water change and spilled some water on the floor. Now all my tanks are at my girlfriend's house. But her mom is cool with it. She actually wants me to get another, bigger tank.

Dad puts up with it as long as I help pay. I convinced him in a salt tank because he liked all the prettier fish. Now he wants to do a bigger salt tank. He also is making my new bedroom tile so I don't ruin the floors with the tanks. Sometimes I think he is more amused by the fish then I am. Except when he tries feeding the oscar's and takes a shower. Funny call to get while working. He always says "no" but in the end I get it because I always put up a good argument. Also cleaning the house at random works great, or randomly giving him something he wanted.
