I know these sharks will slaughter any home aquaria etc. Atm mine is housed in a 3ft long tank, its a temp home. Itll be moved into a 4x2x2 then a 8x2x2 when needed.
It was in a 2x1x1 tank at the LFS. Had to rescue it.

I was just wondering what to feed it? I havent seen it eat so far but it seems happy.
At first it hid under the heater now it swims around and minds its own business. I assume its happy?

What have you tried so far? How big is the fish? Be prepared to eventually get something bigger then 8x2x2, captive paroons can grow 5+ feet long.

Agreed, they get large and being a paroon shark they grow faster then the pangassius catfish, so you might have to think about getting the 4 x 2 x 2 then getting instead of the 8x2x2 get something wider, as it will out grow the width of the tank fast !
Dave.

At the moment its around 9". It often swims to the front of the tank and goes from left to right as though its looking for something, is this normal? If not it just lays at the back during the day, im guessing sleeping cause everytime someone comes in it becomes lively again.

So far iv tried Cichlid Gold and Algae wafers. The LFS said thats what he eats at the moment.

have u tried feeding him bloodworm? mine cant resist that and oxe heart even afta a water change...reason he's not eating could be your your water alcalinity

is the the frozen / freeze dried blood worms? my Paroons are kinda picky too... they just chow on sinking pellets and theres not much protein in it >.<
