my paroons are pickier than my IDs. ill try to get the bloodworm. next time i go to LFS

I have an 18" sanitwongsei in a very small indoor pond (300 gallon). When I moved him from his previous tank (100gallon) he did not eat for 3 months. People have mentioned that these fish will do that and that no worries-they will eventually eat. Maybe it is because they are a migratory species-when they are moved it messes with their head perhaps? Mine was about 9" a year ago and is now heading to 18-20" real fast. I expect him to do the same thing when I move him into his next tank (1000 gallon+). They definitely need alot of swimming room-We call ours Pacer since that is what he does all day :)

yeah, ive noticed that for some time now while observing them. they need to get acclimated to their new environment before they start chowing down. since they7 wont eat for a while it affects growth rates. got a gator gar that started out smaller than my paroons after a month the gar's twice their size just because the gar had a batter appetite. got mine in 5's so they school along the pond. im already planning to build a bigger one in the future to house em.

I sold my paroon sharks to my LFS, they were over 3 feet long ^^ .
But that wasn't the problem, they fought every fish in my pond, and I got tired of it.

I gave away my ID,( he was like 16-18 inches) since I knew a 125 gallon wouldnt last him long. He went a long time without eating though, Like several months and he was still growing. I dont know how that is even possible.
