I can't speak for professionals - Public Aquaria, farms, etc.
In hobbyists hands, the biggest I came across was TLkm's 44". That was some time back. Could be 4' now.
My 4 rescues from Ohio refuse to grow past 2.5'-3'. But they don't eat much. Just pellets. Wouldn't take anything fleshy.
Both TLkm's and mine are skittish, nervous, and shy.
There are diametrically opposite examples of eat-all-you-can paroons in smaller fish tanks. Have been reported here.
