My paroon grew 16" in 12 months. Very big fish. Bella reached 30" weighed 5.5lbs and was 6" across the eyes when she died. Be prepared. Be very prepared.

Like someone already said, some can be more docile then others. I had 2 that I got around 2" and I successfully kept them with a lot of my other cats I've kept. Some ID's, RTC's, Shovelnose, bullheads, channels, even goldfish! Some smaller and some bigger then the Paroons. Not saying every paroon is that way! lol.
Personally I wouldn't put a 6" paroon with a 12" tiger. You don't really know the two. That tiger could easily eat him when the lights go out. It's kind of tricky. I would just go and try to find some around the same size. If you pick the paroons, and want a tiger shovelnose, shoot for one around the same size. Not something twice the size. I loved my paroons and if you can provide a very big home for them then I would get them. I hand fed mine and they would come up to the top and I could pet them. They were the best, most amazing fish to have and watch. I say that about all my cats though!
All I ever kept was catfish, so I can't really help with the peacock bass part.
