As few as 1 in 20 male parrots may be fertile I did not believe it myself until my LFS had a breeding pair that had successful fry that grew into parrots

I was wondering the same thing about how to tell male and female apart?I just got a pair with the tank I just bought for free..I seen one digging a hole so I thought for laying eggs but nothing yet. There is also a electric blue african in there maybe hes messing things up??

try to cross a female king kong parrot with a male flowerhorn with a large ko. youll get wonders.

My BRP's lay eggs every couple of weeks. The male goes through the motions of fertilization, but he's sterile.
Mine lay on the inside of a clay pot. I will warn you though, it takes a while forthem to be sexually mature.
The way that you tell males from females is the female when she is getting close to laying, will drop a breeding tube down. It's pretty obvious.
