Parrot Convict Cross?

The female is a regular pink con and the male looks like funked up balloon con.These are NOt bred with parrots and neither are the ones sold in shops (usually dyed silly colours).I have bred a pink con with a parrot and the fry look nothing like them(they are striped for a start).
 
My lfs was selling little tiny 1" cichlids like a week or two ago as "jellybean cichlids" and I didnt know what they were at all,though they were rough housing like convicts.They were in the oscar tank.
Now that I think of it they looked pretty much like con/parrot hybrids.

so people use these to produce other hybrids?

They are NOT con/parrot hybrids, they are short body/balloon pink convicts(usually dyed pink to make them look like parrots).
 
My pink females have orange colors but not as much as that one.

I have a female Blood parrot/red devil cross that spawned with a male convict, three time eggs did not hatch. Lost him to old age so don't know which of the two was infertile.

To repeat myself again those ARE NOT con/parrot crosses they are balloon/short body convicts.The only thing that makes them remotely parrot like is the shape and almost any cichlid can be short body (GT, midas, oscar, blue ram etc etc)

If you want to see what a con x parrot looks like I can post some pics but for a start the pink in pink cons cannot show in any hybrid offspring, its a pink con only thing.Secondly con/parrot cross males are infertile and last short body cons breed true but breed one with a normal shape con and you will get normal shaped con fry.
 
I would love to see pictures. The Female is not orange anymore she lost here color completely 4-6 days ago had no clue why till yesterday i realized in one of there pits was a bunch of little wigglers. The funny thing is she was the one guarding the fry and everytime the male got near the nest she would attack him i actually had to move him to a ten Gallon tonight. He was starting to look torn and hurt. Now while we are on the topic i am looking to get a female Blood Parrot and put it with a male pink Convict. How easy is this any advice i will post picture of the fry when they are past the stage of 4-5 days.
