Parrot fish aggressive?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
We people breed for looks not for health or longevity of the fish..

Correct, but the same events take place within pure species - it's called line breeding, and inbreeding. Breeding events that often result in inferior health, while in the pursuit of beauty. Let's not kid ourselves, designer fish are designer fish, whether designer discus from SE Asia, or designer flowerhorn from SE Asia.

You guys are kidding, right? If not my fish world view is shattered -- I thought all Flowerhorns & Parrots were wild caught from Unicorn Lake in the Magic Mountains :(

Well according to the manager of a lfs I had gone to, flowerhorns are "wild caught". That's right...and he says women are dumb. :shakehead

I know those breeding farms get pretty 'wild', but I don' think that's the same thing...
